Two months before the release of the Ghostbusters reboot, a second trailer was released for the movie starring an all-female cast. This came after the first film trailer was disliked by so many fans.
According to Daily Mail, the trailer (as seen below) has been improved and was initially released on Twitter where there is no "dislike" button. It still features the main stars of the movie -- Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, Kristen Wiig and Kate McKinnon -- who fight supernatural beings.
They try to save the community from all the evil that surrounds it. "Whatever it is, no one should have to encounter that kind of evil... except you girls," said Michael Donald's character in the opening of the trailer.
Following this scene are action-packed clips including car chases, slime-spewing creatures and explosions. McCarthy was heard in one part that all of them have a gift to fight these evils.
"We see what no one else is willing to see," she added. "We do things others can't do. If there's a paranormal problem, we're the ones to answer the call."
Inverse added that new footage was added to the trailer that gave fans the idea what the main characters are up against and what evil will haunt the city. It also showed how the geeky receptionist played by Liam Hemsworth was possessed by ghost minions.
Despite coming up with a new trailer, MovieWeb said many fans are still tagging the one-liners in the teaser was "old and tired." Movie aficionados are still looking for the "it" factor that a horror comedy should possess.
Commenting on all the negative reaction, director Paul Feig said that many people are still expecting for the movie's release. He added that the new trailer now shows more scope about the movie but expected that many people will still criticize it.
