"Star Wars Episode VIII" might still be a year and a half away from release, but there are already several rumors surrounding the sequel to the highly successful "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." Now it looks like there could be a major "Star Wars Episode 8" scene being filmed in Ireland, and it involves Rey, Luke, Kylo Ren and the mysterious Knights of Ren!
The Knights Of Ren In Ireland
According to Making Star Wars, an unnamed source has disclosed some potentially spoiler-y details from "Star Wars Episode 8." The site shared that there were seven costumed actors spotted on an Irish hillside. Although this might not seem like anything too interesting, these actors are wearing black from head to toe, just like Kylo Ren in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." In addition to that, the seven actors are filming a scene with Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley and Mark Hamill. This definitely confirms that the Knights of Ren will make an appearance in "Star Wars Episode 8."
Rey And Luke Vs Kylo Ren And The Knights Of Ren
So does this mean that Kylo Ren and the Knights of Ren have arrived to take on Rey and Luke Skywalker in "Star Wars Episode 8?" The site also described the scene being filmed, and it looks like the infuriated Kylo Ren had followed Rey to find the Last Jedi in "Star Wars Episode 8." Kylo Ren takes on Rey while the Knights of Ren gang up on Luke Skywalker, and for an even more dramatic effect, the scene features a lot of rain. The Knights of Ren, as awesome as they may look, are no match for Luke Skywalker. The Last Jedi quickly defeats the Knights of Ren then goes for Kylo Ren.
This is certainly exciting news for fans who are hoping to see Luke Skywalker show off his full Jedi power in "Star Wars Episode 8." However, it is best to remember that the details are still unconfirmed and should be taken with a grain of salt (via io9).
"Star Wars Episode 8" is directed by Rian Johnson and also stars John Boyega, Oscar Isaac and Gwendoline Christie. The film is scheduled for release on December 15, 2017.
