'Overwatch' Launch Times For PS4 And Xbox One Players Goes Live; 'Overwatch' Secret Characters Exist?

The highly-anticipated launch for "Overwatch" is finally happening for PS4, Xbox One and PC gamers in the US, Europe and Austral-Asia. The best part about this release is that there are no exclusivity for players in the different territories. However, some may be able to play head because of the differences in launch times.

Blizzard announced the "Overwatch" launch times in a post on the game's blog. It stated that "deployment" has already started on May 23 at 4:00 p.m. in Los Angeles, while it's 7:00 p.m. in New York. Those in South America can already start playing the game an hour after the U.S. launch, while those in the U.K. and Paris should be enjoying "Overwatch" beginning midnight of May 24. On the other hand, in the regions of Asia and Australia, "Overwatch" fans can already play between 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. locally.

Gamers have to ensure that they have downloaded the game patches and updates properly to avoid any hitches with running "Overwatch" on either the PS4, Xbox One or PC. The step-by-step details are also posted on the official site. VG247 reports that connection failures are happening as the launch has rolled out. The servers should be normalized and stable within a few hours.

Meanwhile, a discussion in the gamer forum NeoGaf suggests that "Overwatch" could potentially have secret characters to reward its players for the launch. These characters, named Soldier 76 and Sombra, might be uncovered in targeted sites like Dorado or Route 66.

The documentaries released by Blizzard ahead of the launch are further boosting speculations about the secret characters for "Overwatch." Fans say these might be villains, but with the launch still in its early hours, no one has found the secret characters yet.

"Overwatch," Blizzard's latest first-person MMORPG, was officially announced in 2014. It takes place in a futuristic environment where robots have risen to fight with humans. Before the May 24 release, some select fans have been part of the beta-testing, which ran until April 2016. Now, the game is all set for the public and it is pegged as Blizzard's next successful MMORPG.
