The second season of "Daredevil" might have been about Matt Murdock's struggle to find out who he really is, but the Netflix show was undoubtedly dominated by the women in his life. A new featurette for "Daredevil" Season 2 puts the focus on Deborah Ann Woll's Karen Page and Elodie Yung's Elektra Natchios, who stole the spotlight from Charlie Cox's Man Without Fear.
Karen Page Learns To Fight
The "Daredevil" Season 2 featurette, which is aptly titled "The Women of Hell's Kitchen," discusses Matt Murdock's growing relationship with Karen Page as she slowly finds her own strength (via BleedingCool). In the process of trying to do what is right for Hell's Kitchen, Karen Page also finds herself drawn to Matt Murdock. However, she is not aware of Matt Murdock's alter ego as the Devil of Hell's Kitchen, which proves to be problematic for the Man With No Fear.
Elektra Natchios Returns To Hell's Kitchen
Karen Page isn't the only one making life complicated for Matt Murdock in "Daredevil" Season 2. His ex-girlfriend Elektra Natchios also returns with an offer he can't refuse. The return of Elektra also sparks something different in Matt Murdock, since his ex-girlfriend knows about Daredevil and embraces the darkness in him.
"Daredevil" Season 2 also introduced former "The Walking Dead" star Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher, who becomes an obsession for Karen Page and a new opponent for Matt Murdock. The character's debut in "Daredevil" Season 2 was well-received by fans and has pushed Netflix to give The Punisher his own spin-off series (via Marvel). Although this is good news for fans of The Punisher, this could mean a bleak future for "Daredevil" Season 3.
What's Next For "Daredevil?"
Although some fans are still hoping that "Daredevil" will get a third season, it looks like Netflix and Marvel might have other plans (via Heavy). "Daredevil" Season 3 might be moved back to make way for a second season for "Jessica Jones" or the highly anticipated debut of "Iron Fist."
