The season finale of "The Flash" Season 2 finally revealed Zoom's endgame and the identity of the Man in the Iron Mask, who is none other than Earth-3 Jay Garrick. However, the plot twist is, Jay Garrick is actually Henry Allen, who is played by John Wesley Shipp. But with all that out of the way, who will Grant Gustin's Barry Allen face in "The Flash" Season 3 now that he has saved Nora Allen in the past?

In "The Flash" Season 2 Episode 23 (via TVLine), Barry Allen is still reeling from Henry Allen's death but still needs to defeat Zoom to save all the multiverses. After Zoom reveals that the Man in the Iron Mask is actually Earth-3 Jay Garrick, he is off to race with Barry Allen to power up the magnetar. Luckily, Barry Allen manages to jump back in time and save Joe West before fighting with Zoom and leaving him with the time wraiths. On a side note, WestAllen shippers finally got what they wanted: Iris West admits her feelings for Barry Allen and they kiss. Then Barry is off to go back in time to save his mother Nora Allen.
Is "The Flash" Doing "Flashpoint" In Season 3?
Saving Nora Allen in "The Flash" Season 2 finale might have a significant effect on what could happen in the third season. Some fans believe that everything that happened in "The Flash" will now effectively be altered and Season 3 will start with a brand new storyline that isn't affected by what happened in the show before. This is certainly good news for everyone who is looking forward to "The Flash" taking on the "Flashpoint" story arc from the comic books.
But who will Barry Allen have to go up against in "The Flash" Season 3? If the third season of "The Flash" is planning to take on the "Flashpoint" story arc from the comics, fans can expect Eobard Thawne aka Reverse-Flash to make an appearance.
