Many Tom Clancy's "The Division" fans and gamers were definitely thrilled about the games 1.2 "Conflict" update, which was released on Tuesday, May 24. Unfortunately, "The Division" latest update was sort of a catastrophe after it was plagued with bug and glitches, some gamers even reported their characters were wiped out.
The Conflict In Tom Clancy's 'The Division' 1.2 Update
Tom Clancy's "The Division" 1.2 update called "Conflict" reportedly launched new player-versus-player and player-versus-environment content, not to mention the game's brand new Incursion in Columbus Circle known as, "Clear Sky." But according to Polygon, several users were experiencing tenacious stability and matchmaking issues in multiple game modes.
In fact, one of most frustrating issues on Tom Clancy's "The Division" 1.2 update were the new raid's matchmaking issues. As reported by several users, the raid simply resets itself when they attempt to start "Clear Sky."
In addition, some players were also brought back to the start of the mission or to the nearest safehouse. Following the resets, Tom Clancy's "The Division" 1.2 update user interface seemed to double or brighten, making the game slower.
Tom Clancy's 'The Division' 1.2 Update Glitches And Problems
Aside from the matchmaking and stability issues, Tom Clancy's "The Division" 1.2 update was also suffering from several other problems, including malfunctioning Daily Missions and missing mission-critical characters. Fortunately, Ubisoft has started investigating the latest issues in "The Division" update, IGN notes.
Speaking of glitches and problems in Tom Clancy's "The Division" 1.2 update, the game's High Value Targets (HVT) mission, one of the PvE systems that relies on a new currency called Intel, reportedly refuses to unlock. But when it unlocks, named bosses frequently fail to materialize, leaving players to try the mission over and over again.
The major glitches in Tom Clancy's "The Division" 1.2 update, however, were the missing characters and daily mission malfunctions, which were also among the issues faced by the game following the "Falcon Lost" update. Fortunately, Ubisoft was already aware of the glitches and bugs and currently working on a hotfix, VG24/7 reports.
Tom Clancy's 'The Division' 1.2 Update Is Promising
Despite the unexpected catastrophic impact of glitches and bugs, Forbes claims Tom Clancy's "The Division" 1.2 "Conflict" update appears to be the most promising patch Ubisoft has made since the game was launched in March. As a matter of fact, if the Search and destroy and HVT missions are functioning well, it will enhance the gamers' much needed solo option to gather end-game items such as matching gear sets.
Additionally, it also gave "The Division" gamers good reason to explore the nooks and crannies of the map. "Clear Sky" was also more dynamic compared to Falcon Lost's uninspiring, 15-wave endurance test. While Tom Clancy's "The Division" team has attempted to offer rewards for previous technical issues through the Phoenix Credits giveaway, it's still unclear if similar recompenses will be awarded to dedicated "The Division" players who were affected by the 1.2 update glitches and bugs.
