Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have long been plagued by countless divorce and breakup rumors. While the couple rarely responds to such issues, the 58-year-old talk show host recently responded to the never-ending speculations. Are they divorcing?
Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres have been together for over 10 years. Through those years, the couple has battled with a couple of issues, including divorce or breakup rumors.
In an interview, the "Ellen DeGeneres Show" host responded to breakup rumors that seem to go on without an end, reports PopSugar.
"I don't know why they do this," she said. "We're kind of flattered. We really don't almost break up, we don't fight, we're madly in love, and I guess it's boring."
The "Finding Dory" actress also said that she hopes to spend the rest of her life with de Rossi. DeGeneres shared that she is confident that she and de Rossi will be together until the end of her life.
De Rossi also revealed that the secret to their successful marriage is being "really good friends" and being honest with each other. The "Scandal" actress said that she and DeGeneres never lie to each other even at the smallest details.
An earlier report from The National Enquirer states that DeGeneres and de Rossi were headed for a breakup, reports Radar Online. According to the publication, de Rossi has chosen to leave DeGeneres for her "Scandal" co-star.
De Rossi has allegedly fallen in love with a man and has decided to pursue a relationship with her co-star. The report goes on to claim that DeGeneres was hurt over her wife's betrayal and she is preparing to sue her for $220 million.
DeGeneres has previously experienced the same kind of betrayal from her previous girlfriend, Anne Heche. DeGeneres and Heche have been together for three years when the latter decided to leave her for James Tupper.
