Memphis, Tennessee - Kevuntez King, a boy who sold newspapers for five years was able to earn enough to pay for his college tuition before he even starts.
Q13 Fox reports that the boy was raised in a single parent home. His mother influenced him a so many ways, she taught him to be a go-getter. She is an independent woman herself and she taught him well even without a father figure at home. He began selling newspapers since he was 12 years old until he turned 17.
The kid only had one goal in mind: To earn enough to pay for his entire college education. Earning $200 dollars every Sunday for five years straight, he is now ready to take on college. He was accepted into Tennessee State University.
According to King, his mom taught him how to be independent, and she doesn't need to have to take out from her pocket or take loans for his education. Imagining that from a teenager, when those of his age play, he would be trying to make money.
He sure must have experienced challenges along the way, but people may not really see that as they have only seen what happened after all his struggles. He sure will have a lot to achieve in the future.
To Kevuntez King, all those years must have been the most precious and character shaping. He told WHBQ, "I just stay away from the negativity and try to always be positive."
If there is any piece of advice that King would be willing to share, it is this: "Make sure you surround yourself with people that's trying to go up in life and not trying to bring you down. Just stay positive and always believe in yourself and push for it."
