iPhone 8 Rumors, Specs, Release Date: Apple Patents Wrap-Around Screen For Most Powerful, Futuristic Smartphone? [PHOTO]

Apple is releasing the iPhone 7 in September, but news of the iPhone 8 is already flooding the internet this early. Since the latter is expected to be out for the iPhone's 10th Anniversary in 2017, speculations are that the iPhone 8 is going to alter and impact the market in a big way.

Early iPhone 8 rumors suggest that Apple could be bent on releasing a new flagship phone that will feature a continuous wrap-around screen. In fact, Fortune reports that the company has filed a patent for this technology.

iPhone 8 Rumors Hints Of A Sexy, Seamless Design

Parent Herald previously reported on speculations that Apple could follow the design of Samsung S7 Edge's seamless surface. However, the patent shows there is more to Apple's ideas than just a copy.

The new screen will be able to present images and videos in a "continuous loop." The patented design, filed at the U.S. Patent Office on June 14, also shows that the new device will have empty sides and rear. This could be where the button configurations and other functionality are placed. However, Value Walk earlier hinted that because of the iPhone 8's all-screen and bezel-less design, functionality such as the Home button could be embedded on the screen display itself. A sensitive Touch ID feature could be hidden in screen, which will make the iPhone even more futuristic, sleek and sexier in design.

iPhone 8 Rumors Hints Of The Most Powerful, Fastest Unit

Technlog reports that the iPhone 8 will carry an A11 processor, which will make the smartphone the fastest among all of Apple's iPhone models. It might also have bigger RAM capacity at 4GB. Current iPhones only have 3GB RAM.

The iPhone 8 rumors suggest Apple could be upping their game to recapture the smartphone market especially after sales of the iPhone 6s has slowed down significantly. But analysts say that these speculations could possibly affect the demand for the iPhone 7 in September as others might put off purchasing the new smartphone in favor of the iPhone 8.
