Fans are already excited about the upcoming entry of "Wonder Woman" in the DC Extended Universe. We already got a sneak peek on Gal Gadot's portrayal of the Amazon princess in March's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," and it left viewers wanting to know which of the superheroine's comic materials will pop up in the movie adaptation. That, however, doesn't include Diana Prince's invisible jet, her primary means of transportation during World War I.
The news of the invisible jet's absence in the film was confirmed by DC Entertainment president Diane Nelson in an interview with People. DC Entertainment is currently commemorating the 75th year since the debut of Wonder Woman, who was created by psychologist William Moulton Morrison in 1941 and was portrayed by Lynda Carter in a TV series during the 1970s.
The invisible jet first appeared in 1942's Sensation Comics #1 during the days when Diana could only fly over short distances. Carter's "Wonder Woman" TV series featured the jet, and has since appeared in several animated films, Cinema Blend noted.
'Wonder Woman' Will Have Humor And 'Own Tone'
Nelson told People that the upcoming "Wonder Woman" film, which is directed by Patty Jenkins and is set during World War I, will "have its own tone and look." The movie will display humor and genuine emotion as Diana embarks on a journey that will allow her to discover the "complexity of man."
In an interview with Digital Spy, the 31-year-old Gadot said that the upcoming movie will showcase a more naïve and a young idealist version of Wonder Woman. In "Batman v Superman," she was portrayed as this highly confident and mature female, and the upcoming flick will explore how she became that person.
Wonder Woman, along with other Amazon women, lives at a hidden island called Themyscira. To create the fantastical place influenced by the Greek, Jenkins and her crew used exotic islands off the coasts of Italy and southern China, Entertainment Weekly wrote.

"Wonder Woman" also stars Chris Pine, Robin Wright as General Antiope, Connie Nielsen as Diana's mother Queen Hippolyta, Lisa Loven Kongsli as Menalippe and Samantha Jo as the heroine's close friend Euboea.

The heroine will also appear in the Zack Snyder-directed movie "Justice League" along with Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa and Ray Fisher.
