Following Tom Clancy's "The Division" two-hour maintenance on Thursday, Jun. 23, the game is now ready to launch a series of tweaks and improvements as fans wait for the release of its 1.3 update before the end of this month. According to Ubisoft, the latest maintenance aimed to "clean up" Tom Clancy's "The Division" databases.

Tom Clancy's 'The Division' Latest Maintenance

There were no game changes in Tom Clancy's "The Division" maintenance. Instead, the servers went offline in preparation and ahead of the game's "Underground" release on Tuesday, Jun. 28 for Xbox One and PC platforms and on Aug. 2 for PS4.

"There will be no game changes during this maintenance, however it will be used for server optimizations and to clean up the databases," Tom Clancy's "The Division" development team said in a statement posted in the game's official forum, as per Daily Express. "The servers will shut down for maintenance on Thursday, June 23 at 09:00 AM CEST / 03:00 AM EDT / 00:00 AM PDT. Estimated downtime is approximately 2 hours."

Tom Clancy's 'The Division' 1.3 Update

Aside from the latest Tom Clancy's "The Division" maintenance, which is reportedly part of a weekly cycle and that happens at least four times monthly, Ubisoft is also gearing up for the upcoming DLC launch and the game's 1.3 update. In the upcoming "The Division" 1.3 patch, fans could expect major changes in the game's weapon balancing.

According to GamesRadar, "The Division" Strikers and Sentries gear sets will no longer be having a two, three or four-piece bonus. Instead, Tom Clancy's "The Division" 1.3 update will implement a five-piece bonus system.

Tom Clancy's "The Division" 1.3 update will also allow players to recalibrate their weapon talents. Additionally, "The Division" fans will finally have the chance to try one of game's most powerful and fully-automatic weapon, the Showstopper AA-12 shotgun, VG24/7 notes.

In addition, Tom Clancy's "The Division" 1.3 update will also bring major adjustments on the game's explosive and incendiary adjustments. As a matter of fact, "The Division" senior designer Frederik Thylander revealed that both special ammo types will be getting a "proper nerf," GameSpot learns.

Tom Clancy's 'The Division' First Paid DLC Expansion 'Underground'

Apart from the release of Tom Clancy's "The Division" 1.3 update on Jun. 28, Ubisoft will also launch the game's first paid expansion, "Underground," on that same date. While Tom Clancy's "The Division" 1.3 update will bring significant weapons balancing improvements, the game's "Underground" DLC launch will only be exclusive to DLC owners and will reportedly feature the latest "Dragon's Nest" incursion and four DLC exclusive gear sets.

Tom Clancy's "The Division" 1.3 update's free content, on the other hand, will bring gameplay changes, bug fixes, new weapons and one new gear set. For more details on the upcoming Tom Clancy's 1.3 update and "Underground" DLC release, check out the "State of the Game" broadcast on Twitch.
