"Downton Abbey" might have ended its run on television, but it's still making a mark among viewers. For a while, news of a "Downton Abbey" movie fueled the idea that the Crawley family's story will make its last bid for real closure on the big screen.
But while none of the movie rumors have been firm, the actors of "Downton Abbey" have moved on from other projects and commitments. So, where can fans watch former "Downton Abbey" cast members in other TV shows today? Here's a rundown:
'Downton Abbey' Lady Mary
Michelle Dockery, who played Lady Mary on "Downton Abbey," has already filmed a full season of "Good Behavior" for TNT. The TV show is about a con artist who is trying to get her life back together. Per TNT Drama, "Good Behavior" is supposed to start its run this fall with 10 episodes.
'Downton Abbey' Lady Edith
Laura Carmichael, who played Lady Edith, was recently seen in the British TV series "Marcella," which starred Anna Friel. The crime drama series is streaming on Netflix worldwide, per Digital Spy. However, it's not known if it has earned a second season follow up.
'Downton Abbey' John & Anna Bates
Joanne Froggatt, who played the servant Anna, is in a number of movie productions after "Downton Abbey." But she's also keeping busy working as a TV producer for "Dark Angel," per Sentinel and Enterprise. She has a brief appearance in this miniseries which will run on PBS in 2017. Meanwhile, Brendan Coyle, who played Anna's husband John, was in "12 Monkeys" and he is also in the cast of the young adult movie "Me Before You."
'Downton Abbey' Mrs. Patmore
Lesley Nichol, who played the cook Mrs. Patmore, was last seen in the ABC series "The Catch," which stars Mireille Enos, Peter Krause and Sonya Walger. Nichol played the matriarch in a family of con artists. "The Catch" is set to return for a second season.
'Downton Abbey' Henry Talbot
Matthew Goode, who played Lady Mary's husband Henry Talbot, was cast in the sci-fi series "Roadside Picnic." Per Deadline, the show about aliens will run on WGN and Goode's character is described as quiet, intelligent, but ruthless. Its air date has yet to be announced.
'Downton Abbey' Joseph Molesley
Kevin Doyle, who played the footman Molesley, is in the second season of the critically-acclaimed British series "Happy Valley." Radio Times lauded his performance in this series. "Happy Valley" is streamed via Netflix for non-U.K. viewers.
