"Supernatural" remains to be one of the popular TV series on The CW. Currently, the show is on hiatus but is set to return for its 12th season. According to reports, Jensen Ackles is taking a break from directing an episode of "Supernatural" Season 12. Meanwhile, Jared Padalecki expressed his interest in Sam and Castiel's relationship.
Jensen Ackles Not Directing An Episode In 'Supernatural' Season 12
Per International Business Times, Jensen Ackles who plays Dean Winchester in "Supernatural" has dedicated himself to directing at least one episode per season. However, for "Supernatural" Season 12, the actor decided to take a pass in directing.
"I just decided to take the first part of the season easy," Ackles told TV Line. "Twenty-three episodes [per season] is a long, long shoot, and I usually would direct the first episode that we would film... so it's basically like sprinting the first several miles of a marathon, which doesn't really work if you're a good runner. You want to pace yourself, so I'm going to pace myself this year."
More Samstiel Moments In 'Supernatural' Season 12
On a side note, Jared Padalecki who plays the younger Winchester expressed his interest in exploring Sam and Castiel's (Misha Collins) relationship. According to the actor, there are already too many Sam and Dean scenes that he wants to see Sam's other side with Castiel.
"I love Misha [Collins]. I get a lot of Sam/Dean scenes, and I love Jensen [Ackles], but I love exploring the Sam/Castiel relationship," Padalecki said of his intention to work more with Collins on screen per TV Line.
