Android Nougat Release Date & Download: Android N To Come To Your Phone In August? How To Install Android 7.0 Now

Google has recently revealed its newest operating system for android phones, named as Android Nougat. While the final and gold-standard version is yet to be announced, you can actually download and install a preview version and try out the amazing new features that were also revealed during the Google I/O 2016.

When Your Phone Will Get Android N

Google said that it plans to launch Android Nougat in the third quarter of this year. That means the new android OS will be rolled out before the end of September. But with the final dev-build version scheduled this July, there is a possibility that Android N will be launched as early as August, Know Your Mobile reported.

Delays in android OS rollout seems to have been a normal thing ever since, but if you're a Nexus phone user, you'll be the first to receive the much-anticipated Android Nougat when it launch next month or in September. Samsung, however, usually takes time to release the latest version, so if Android Nougat comes out in September, you'll probably start getting yours in March, just like what happened with Android Marshmallow.

While HTC is also building its Nexus 2016 phones, it would be safe to start expecting Android 7.0 update for HTC 10 by December. LG G5 could also get Android N early December, just in time for Christmas. The same goes for Huawei P9 and Mate 8. Blackberry is relatively a newbie in the android universe, so unless it can double its time in making its new android phones, the latest Android N would probably come to Blackberry devices in Q2 next year.

How To Install Android Nougat Now

At this point, Android Nougat will not be stable yet, but if you're excited to try out what it has to offer now, sign up to Google's Android beta program using your Google ID. If you own a Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6, Pixel C, Nexus 9, Nexus Player, or the General Mobile 4G Android One, you're eligible to get a preview version, Trusted Reviews said. After you enrolled, you should receive the update on your device and be prompted to install Android Nougat. You'll receive further updates then moving forward.
