Adults who often received negative comments about their weight during their early years grew up to be insecure about their body image.

In a survey done by the researchers, it was discussed that around 500 women opened up stating that they are not comfortable with their weight. Children with parents that are concerned about their weight are more likely to be concerned and sometimes obsessed about how their body weight.

It is important for parents to take things slow and let their kids be kids. Though worrying about your child's weight may be important, educating them and giving them healthy options instead of sugary snacks can go a long way.

Parents should be sensitive enough when it comes to commenting on their children's weight. Saying things like "You're Fat" is a huge red flag. Educating the child when it comes to going for healthier food choices and setting a good example should be ideal when it comes to avoiding obesity and other weight related issues among young children.
