The popular "One Punch Man" anime series ended with an action-packed finale, and a new HQ being rebuilt. And because of its massive fame among overseas fans, it is set to air in Toonami this month.
Majority of rumors referring to "One Punch Man" hero Saitama revolve around the fighter's more powerful opponents for Season 2. Still, further reports suggest that "One Punch Man" series creator Yusuke Murata is already gearing towards fresh episodes for the upcoming season, in an MNR Daily post.
The following contains spoilers; read on if you want to find out:
A quick recall of One Punch Man Season 1 Episode 12 finale: Lord Boros fights with Saitama, who even with his regenerative powers ends up getting obliterated in the process; the rest of the Heroes battle against Melzargard while Lightning Max, Stinger, and Mumen Rider rescue the remaining survivors.
In "One Punch Man" episode 12, Genos the cyborg gets told by Drive Knight that Metal Knight is the enemy. The devilishly handsome Amai Mask suddenly appears, and almost starts a fight with the S-class heroes but was halted by Metal Knight.
As Metal Knight tries to save some usable parts from the ship, these are then used to restore the Heroes' HQ and replaces City A (which got destroyed in Saitama and Lord Boros' battle). Both S and A-class heroes get invited to start over and stay with the rest in the new Heroes HQ. Also, "One Punch Man" hero Saitama triumphs over the Underworld King Pluto with his famous whopper. Woohoo!
Anyway, Lord Boros may have been defeated by "One Punch Man" hero Saitama, however speculation has it that the former would be back for Season 2. Amai Mask, who showed up during the latest season finale, maybe back after seeing Saitama not fully using his powers during the Lord Boros fight. Another villain, Garou, the human-like monster, is also one of Saitama's villains getting tapped for a comeback in "One Punch Man" Season 2.
