One thing for sure is the fact that "South Park" season 20 will be "another short season." The reason? iDigitalTimes hints "South Park" won't be divided anymore into fall and spring for a midseason premiere.

For "South Park" season 20 plot, the online news site hinted the possibility that creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone will continue to follow the storyline of the series' season 19, where Garrison and Principal Victoria decided to run for a high political position in the United States. It also added that the upcoming season will tackle some real-life issues regarding the nation's election season.

"South Park" season 20 is scheduled to premiere on Sept. 14, 2016. According to Comedy Central, Stan, Cartman, Kenny, Kyle and the rest of the "South Park" gang will continue to be part of the series' television comeback this fall, Screen Crush notes.
In the previous Parent Herald report, it also teased the participation of Caitlyn Jenner and George Clooney in "South Park" season 20. But along with its brand new season, the creators will also be releasing the series' video game titled, "The Fractured but Whole," this holiday season of 2016.
'South Park' Season 20 Invading 2016 San Diego Comic-Con?
Meanwhile, "South Park" season 20 will reportedly invade the 2016 San Diego Comic-Con on Jul. 21-24 at the San Diego Convention Center. The centerpiece of the celebration will be the "South Park 20 Experience" where fans will be allowed "to explore and insert themselves into 20 iconic and fan favorite scenes," another Screen Crush report reveals.
"COMEDY CENTRAL AND SOUTH PARK DIGITAL STUDIOS KICK-OFF THE ICONIC SERIES' 20TH SEASON CELEBRATION AT COMIC-CON IN SAN DIEGO BEGINNING ON THURSDAY, JULY 21," Comedy Central said on the press release, as per TV Series Finale.
As for the future of "South Park," the series has reportedly been given a prior three-season renewal into 2019. With that said, creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker even suggested the series could be seen in video games or on a second film.
