The new schedule for "Scream" Season 2 is believed to be due to the continuous drop in its ratings since Season 1 and the current season has only raked in .20 in ratings. The move to a new time slot and airdate is often taken as a sign that a series is coming to an end and the network is already attempting to generate needed hits from its target audience.
Since news of the possible cancellation of "Scream" after Season 2 made rounds online, several fans already began filing online petitions in hopes of getting the show renewed for another year. In a particular petition site, a fan noted that they have always been a fan of the show and would love to see it for another year.
Many fans also expressed that "Scream" Season 2 could still go on for more years since there are a lot more stories to tell. Others, however, believed that the show should not have moved to a different time slot because it might further cause a drop in ratings.
