'Brooklyn Nine Nine' Season 4 Spoilers: Holt and Peralta Captured by Figgis In Upcoming Run?

"Brooklyn Nine Nine" season 4 spoilers suggest that season 3's crime boss will return to wreak havoc in the upcoming run. If rumors are true, it looks like Jake Peralta and Capt. Raymond Holt could be in trouble despite assuming a different identity.

Movie News Guide reported that Jimmy Figgis' terror doesn't stop in the previous season. If rumors are accurate, fans of the show will get to see more of Figgis and his gang in "Brooklyn Nine Nine" season 4. In fact, the site event claimed that the crime boss will know Peralta and Holt's whereabouts, and could possibly capture them both.

Previous spoilers hinted that "Brooklyn Nine Nine" season 4 will most probably kick-off where it left off. Apart from that, the focus will be on the Nine-Nine precinct and how they explore the unknown without a Captain and one of its greatest detectives.

When asked about the Witness Protection Program bit, executive producer Dan Goor admitted that they didn't really think of that possibility early on. In fact, it had to take an additional character to help them to land at the "Brooklyn Nine Nine" season 3 ending.

"It was an image that I had in my head from pretty early in the season, and then we sort of talked about it as a room and thought, 'Oh, that'll be cool,' then put up a card on a wall underneath 323, where it said 'Finale,' that read 'Jake and Holt go to witness protection,'" "Brooklyn Nine Nine" executive producer told Yahoo.

"Then we really sort of ignored it until the last half of the season. As we started to think about how we were going to get there... we also knew we wanted to do this Adrian Pimento arc [an undercover cop who returns, then has to fake his death]. I think it was Luke Del Tredici, who's a great writer/producer on the show, who had the pitch that the Adrian Pimento arc leads to an arc that leads to witness protection."

The "Brooklyn Nine Nine" showrunner then dished on the importance of introducing Pimento's character in the previous run, even hinting that his work in the Nine-Nine is far from over.

"What we liked about Pimento was, not only did it feel world-expanding and like a fun thing to do towards the end of Season 3 after we'd already done 60 episodes with our guys and gals, it also impacted every other character in the squad," the "Brooklyn Nine Nine" star continued.
