Joanna Gaines of 'Fixer Upper' Share Parenting Advice: Star Inspires Thousands Of Parents With Sweet Facebook Post

Joanna Gaines' is known for renovating dilapidated homes as what was showcased in HGTV's "Fixer Upper." Now, it turns out that the mother-of-four isn't just good in renovation and designing. Gaines also nailed parenting and is more than open to share tips with her fellow moms.

Gaines has two sons (Drake and Duke) and two daughters (Ella and Emmie) with husband Chip, her co-owner and co-operator for Magnolia Homes. Chip also manages the construction and realty side of the houses they renovate on "Fixer Upper."

In a now viral Facebook post shared on July 15, Gaines recounted how she walked in on her daughter watching a butterfly bush that she planted but never got the chance to develop. The simple scene made Gaines realize some things about being a parent and planting seeds in her "little children's hearts."

The Gaines Family

The family-of-six is living in a 40-acre farmhouse, a hundred-year-old property that was run-down but managed to get revitalized thanks to the skills of the Gaines' couple. The 1895 farmhouse is situated on the outskirts of Waco, Texas.

Gaines previously said that her children "love being outside" and farm animals. Around 60 animals including chickens, cows, horses, dogs, cats, bunnies, and goats roam the Gaines' property, according to HGTV.

In an interview, Gaines admitted that she worries more about the business side of things than Chip. She described her husband as someone who "thrives with risk," but she has learned quickly to trust Chip's instincts on investments and the homes they renovate, Pop Sugar reported.

Gaines also gushed about Chip's constant support and encouragement for her. She said that Chip always pushes her to follow her dreams and "has always been the wind" at her back, the news outlet added.

No 'Fixer Upper' In 2017 At The Greater Kansas City Home Show

This week, it was revealed that "Fixer Upper" will not be the main attraction at the Greater Kansas City Home Show in 2017. The March 17-19 event at Bartle Hall will headline "Property Brothers" instead, another popular HGTV show that stars Jonathan and Drew Scott, the Kansas City Star reported.

Dawn Allen, director of membership and events for the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City, said the replacement is due to the Gaines couple's busy schedule and popularity. Thousands of audiences flocked to the Bartle Hall this year to see the Gaines couple, and their Magnolia Market store in Waco is being visited regularly by plenty of tourists.
