Ariel Winter Fired From 'Modern Family'
Parent Herald previously reported that the "Modern Family" cast is under contract negotiations with ABC. According to recent "Modern Family" reports, Ariel Winter, 18, will not be part of "Modern Family" Season 8. The 18-year-old star who enjoys her fame due to said TV series is reportedly fired in favor of other casts.
International Business Times reported that the "Modern Family" production will let go of Ariel Winter to satisfy the pay hike demands of Sofia Vergara, Ed O'Neill and Julie Bowen.
"To renew deals for the 'big three,' some of the younger actors will be shuffled or cut entirely. Ariel isn't central to the show, so she's at the top of the chopping block," one source told Star Magazine.
The report stressed that Ariel Winter was disappointed with her departure in "Modern Family" Season 8. However, according to "Modern Family" production, the teen star is staying.
