iPhone 7 Release Date & Specs: iPhone 7 Release Window Leaked?

It's that time of the year when Apple releases its newest flagship phone and rumors are rife as to when iPhone 7 will hit the market. Famous phone leaker Evan Blass has revealed on Twitter that the week of Sept. 12 will be the release window of the iPhone 7. Could his prediction be correct?

Apple iPhone 7 Release Schedule

Apple always schedules major hardware releases every Friday, so if the release window is the week of Sept. 12, it could mean that the next iPhone will be out on Sept. 16. But it's not yet sure until Apple sends invites for its upcoming press event, which will likely happen late August. Blass also said that two or possibly three new phones will be revealed--the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus (bigger version) and iPhone 7 Pro, Macworld reported.

iPhone 7 Specs

The biggest controversial news about iPhone 7 is that Apple might be removing the headphone jack, 9to5Mac said. All music fans would now have to use wireless Bluetooth headphones or headphones that will able to connect via a lightning port. Meanwhile, iPhone 7 will be 4.7 inches and will feature a new and improved flash camera and a larger housing while iPhone 7 Pro will be 5.5 inches and will have a dual camera developed by Linx, which the tech giant now owns. Other new features include a redesigned antenna lines. The memory options will be from 32GB instead of 16GB. iPhone 7 is expected to have a faster processor with iOS 10 and a smart connector. Also, battery life may be a little bit better than older iPhones, featuring wireless charging and a better waterproofing. The physical redesign is still a question after the iPhone 6/6s generation.

Are you thinking about which iPhone to buy instead of iPhone 7? In September 2015, iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus arrived, followed by iPhone SE in March 2016, so these are still good choices. But iPhone 5s and 5c now have their prices dropped and you take advantage of that. Or would you rather wait for the iPhone 7 generation? Share us your comments below!
