Avid "Final Fantasy" fans, along with Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, are definitely in a celebratory mood as the much-awaited Square Enix's Japanese role-playing game (JRPG), "Final Fantasy XV," will be finally released this year after almost a decade of development. But aside from the release date, the game's developer also revealed some interesting details that would surely excite fans.
At the "Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV" fan event in Los Angeles last March, Square Enix revealed that the upcoming game will be having a high-spec PC version, a new platinum demo, a companion anime, full-length movie and two limited versions of the game. But recently, a more detailed information has been released.
'Final Fantasy XV' New Characters And Other Features
The newly confirmed characters in "Final Fantasy XV" are Lunafreya's older brother Ravus Nox Fleuret and Gladilous' younger sister Iris Amicitia, as PlayStation LifeStyle revealed. 'Final Fantasy XV' New Tie-In Game
Another interesting detail is the fact that the "Final Fantasy XV" universe will also have a "brand new tie-in game" titled, "A King's Tale: Final Fantasy XV." The tie-in game will reportedly depict the events three decades before the beginning of "Final Fantasy XV."
"A King's Tale: FFXV features retro-style graphics and a fast-paced combat system, which combines intense attacks, magic, summons, and companion attacks set in three locations in the world of FFXV," the short description of the game read, as seen on Twitter.
'Final Fantasy XV' Release Date
"Final Fantasy XV" is set to be released on Sept. 30 for PS4 and Xbox One. The game's 16-bit game prequel "A King's Tale: Final Fantasy XV," on the other hand, will also be released on the same day as of its main game, Vine Report noted.
'Final Fantasy XV' Feature Length Computer-Animated Film 'Final Fantasy XV: Kingsglaive' Release Date
Another reason that diehard "Final Fantasy XV" fans are jumping for joy is the announcement of the release date for the game's feature length computer-animated film titled, "Final Fantasy XV: Kingsglaive." According to Digital Spy, the film will be released on Aug. 30 while a Blu-ray and DVD launch will then follow on Oct. 4.
Fortunately, a few selected cinemas in America will screen the film on Aug. 19, as announced at the 2016 San Diego Comic-Con. The "Final Fantasy XV" film will also feature the voices of "Breaking Bad" actor Aaron Paul and "Game of Thrones" alums Lena Headey and Sean Bean.
