"Orphan Black" panel at the San Diego Comic Con were sure about one thing - the series is not going to go further. The fifth season is going to be the last in the installment.
The "Orphan Black" co-creator John Fawcett said: "The focus of season five, obviously, is we all want answers, goddammit."
The "Orphan Black" creators also admitted that there is another reason why the show is going to wrap up. They are very particular that the show should not see a decline in quality.
"We always sort of had five seasons in mind, and the thing that we just didn't want to do is get kind of soft around the middle," said Manson. "We really think that it's cooler to cancel yourself than to get cancelled, than to peter out."
The "Orphan Black" creators said they had a picture in mind of how the show should phase out. The final images of the show are very clear and they know what they are doing. They expressed mixed emotions of the fact that the series is coming to an end. At the same time, with the ending in mind, they have only one particular goal - to work towards it, reported Gizmodo.
The creators of "Orphan Black" also admitted that they knew how the ending is going to be from a very long time. It is revealed that the Neolution founder P.T. Westmoreland is alive. The character is set to step out of the door now. Manson said that the final season will unravel the biggest mystery of all and that is how the founder survived after all!
The"Orphan Black" creators also shared that news that they might add another musical, like they did with Jesus Christ Superstar in season four, reported Entertainment Weekly.
When asked the creators what the worst line in the show was, promptly came the reply, Kristian Bruun, who plays Alison's husband Donnie Hendrix, ruined/improved "Orphan Black" with, "I guess this truly was a game of clones."
When asked how the last scene of "Orphan Black" is going to be: "The walls of the set fall apart and Tatiana kills the whole crew," Manson joked.
We will miss the show for sure!
