The long wait is officially over as "Rise of the Tomb Raider" PS4 is officially slated for an October 11, 2016 release. The highly anticipated title has met a lot of criticisms due to its lengthy delay and Square Enix's decision to release the title exclusively to Xbox One previously.
As Game Rant reported, fans who have patiently waited for "Rise of the Tomb Raider" PS4 will be in for a treat, as fans who pre-order the game will get the 2013 title "Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition" on top of the new game for free.
Apart from the free game, "Rise of the Tomb Raider" PS4 players will also see a new player in the game, a mode called "Blood Ties," a Zombie-style gameplay called "Lara's Nightmare" and a co-op feature called "Endurance."
While not a lot has been disclosed about the rumored "Rise of the Tomb Raider" PS4 launch this year, fans are already guessing on the kind of graphics it will have. In a Reddit forum, avid gamers are suggesting that the new PS4 game could come in 1080p 60fps.
"Tomb Raider Definitive Edition: Xbox One- 900p 30fps PS4- 1080p unlocked FPS (average top 50s, easily reached 60 at many points)," user Macintoshk commented. "Rise of the Tomb Raider Xbox One- 1080p (30% more pixels than 900p) and stable 30fps PS4- if optimized well, we can expect top notch 60 fps gameplay or at least an unlocked frame rate that typically stays in the top 50s. 4 more months to go."
"I do hope they at least have an option to leave frame rate unlocked," user The_White_Injun seconded on the "Rise of the Tomb Raider" PS4 forum. "I know some people prefer a locked 30 over a varying number but I'd rather have higher fps than a stable 30.
