Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are about to celebrate their eighth year wedding anniversary, but divorce rumors continue to heat up about the couple. In a recent interview, the "Finding Dory" star admits that she used to be scared her wife would ruin her career.
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi divorce rumors continue to make rounds online. A recent report from In Touch suggests that the couple will likely not make it to their eighth wedding anniversary in August because of their nonstop fighting, reports Gossip Cop.
"All they do is fight when they're not in public," an insider told the publication.
The insider shared that the 58-year-old talk show host has always felt insecure about her relationship with the "Scandal" actress because she fears her wife would leave her for a man. de Rossi, on the other hand, is allegedly jealous of DeGeneres' close relationship with her friend, Kate McKinnon.
The report also suggests that DeGeneres and de Rossi have been fighting nonstop because of their differing views on having their own family. However, the couple has previously stated in interviews that they both decided to keep their relationship to themselves and not adopt a child.
The divorce rumors about DeGeneres and de Rossi also appear to be untrue, as the "Finding Dory" star recently recounted her first date with her wife. DeGeneres said that when she first asked de Rossi out on a date, they only drove around in a car because she was scared.
"Everyone was saying 'don't be seen' and 'what if this doesn't last and you ruin your career?'" she told Radio 1, according to news.com.au.
Despite the issues during the start of their relationship, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi managed to overcome the obstacles. The couple will be celebrating their anniversary in August 2016.
