‘Shameless’ Season 7 Cast & Spoilers: Alicia Coppola, Three Others Join Cast; Gallaghers On The Brink Of Falling Apart?

"Shameless" is gearing up for the seventh season, and Showtime has revealed the new plot details, as well as names of new cast members. Alicia Coppola, Arden Myrin, Pasha Lychnikoff, and Ruby Modine have been cast for recurring roles.

'Shameless' Hires Ian's Boss

Alicia Coppola ("National Treasure: Book of Secrets") will take the character Sue, "a blue collar, no-nonsense woman" and new supervisor of a group of EMTs. She is going to work with Ian, Deadline reported. Arden Myrin ("Orange Is the New Black") takes on New Monia/Delores, a homeless woman who hooks up with Frank while Pasha Lychnikoff ("Deadwood") will play as the father of Svetlana (Isidora Goreshter) named Yvan. Lastly, Modine will play Sierra, a new waitress at Patsy Pies, which is under Fiona's management.

New "Shameless" Plot Details

According to the report, "Shameless" Season 7 will pick up a month later of where the story left off in last season's finale. Frank (William H. Macy), who has awoken from coma, is declaring a war against his family after he came to know that they tossed him in the river. Meanwhile, Fiona (Emmy Rossum) is working on her own life after experiencing devastating betrayal in Season 6. She is the new manager of Patsy Pies and is busy trying to live a better life, and she couldn't care less about her family for now.

Lip (Jeremy Allen White) is done with his stay in the rehab. He develops a new outlook on alcoholism but has grim visions about his future. Elsewhere, things are looking good for Ian (Cameron Monaghan), having a thriving work as an EMT and a steady relationship. But "Shameless" Season 7 spoilers via TV Guide tease that Caleb is cheating on him, and when Ian followed him, he would find him with a woman. Meanwhile, Debbie (Emma Kennedy) is trying to be a good mom to Franny while Carl will face some decision making as he becomes a man of his own.

What do you think about the new characters added? Do you think Fiona is better off on her own and let her family be for a while?

"Shameless" Season 7 premiers on Oct. 2 on Showtime at 9 p.m.
