‘Supernatural’ Season 12 Spoilers: Dean As Liam Neeson In ‘Taken’ To Save Sam From The Men Of Letters

The first few episodes of "Supernatural" Season 12 will showcase Dean and Sam separated from each other. But as is always the case with this long-running CW series, that separation wouldn't last long given that the Winchester brothers are always out to save each other from whatever force is keeping them hostage.

In the Season 11 finale of "Supernatural," Sam (Jared Padalecki) was shot by Lady Toni (Elizabeth Blackmore), a member of the British chapter of the Men of Letters. Executive producer Robert Singer revealed that the younger Winchester will go through "hell" in the hands of the group, TVLine reported.

Sam also believes that Dean vanquished The Darkness and is now dead after saving the world. Therefore, Sam "has no reason to believe Dean would even be coming for him," Jensen Ackles (Dean) shared.

'Supernatural' Pays Homage To Liam Neeson In 'Taken'

Dean, meanwhile, is clueless about where Sam went in the first few "Supernatural" episodes. But it wouldn't take him long to figure out that the Men of Letters is keeping his brother hostage.

Armed with this knowledge, Dean will turn "into a bit" of Liam Neeson in the film franchise "Taken." Ackles noted that his character would even say Neeson's highly popular "I will find you" line in the movie.

The "Supernatural" executive producer, however, revealed that Dean's rescue mission "doesn't take up too many episodes and will be over "pretty quickly," but they're "action-packed" and all the characters are "involved," TVLine further reported. As expected, the Winchesters will be ecstatic to reunite with each other.

Mary's Resurrection & Dean's Conflicting Emotions

The twelfth season of "Supernatural" will also deal with Mary Winchester's (Samantha Smith) return. The Winchester brothers' mother was resurrected in the Season 11 finale by Amara (Emily Swallow) as a parting gift to Dean.

Speaking to reporters at the San Diego Comic-Con, Ackles said Dean will feel conflicting emotions about his mother's return. Among those feelings are excitement and confusion paired with the fact that plenty of things have happened during their 30+ years of separation, and those missed years will definitely affect their relationship, BuddyTV reported.

When it comes to the two "Supernatural" main characters, we know that the easiest way to get one of them is to hurt or trap the other. There's a high possibility that Mary would be used by the baddies as "another avenue" to intimidate Dean and Sam and present a new "vulnerability" to the brothers.

"Supernatural" Season 12 will revert to its earlier seasons and will feature "smaller" and "good old-fashioned horror stories," Entertainment Weekly reported. Season 12 premieres on Thursday, October 13 at 9 PM on The CW.
