'No Man Sky' is supposed to bring hundreds of hours of gameplay and, in theory, there is no end to playing it. The goal is not to finish the game, but to explore its promised vast world. But a player, who apparently purchased a leaked copy on eBay, claims he has reached the center of the galaxy in the game in just 30 hours.
'No Man's Sky' Done In 30 Hours?
Reddit member daymeeuhn shared how he got an early copy of "No Man's Sky" and posted his reviews on the discussion thread. He stated that he was able to explore the game from the edge to the center of the galaxy in a little under 30 hours only.
"No Man's Sky" is set up in a way that players have to begin their exploration from the galaxy's edge and work their way up to the center. Their progression shouldn't necessarily be linear and direct as the idea is to explore the map in "No Man's Sky" as freely as possible. The enjoyment of the game is in discovering surprises and getting upgrades along the way, as stated in its official game details.
"No Man's Sky" developer Hello Games, through its executive Sean Murray, revealed that reaching the center of the galaxy would take at least 40 hours if players did nothing but just go on a straight trajectory, per Gamespot. Daymeeuhn's declaration has some gamers concerned that it would actually be easy to max out "No Man's Sky's" gameplay, unlike what was promised.
'No Man's Sky' Leaks Spoiling Other Gamers
The game isn't officially out until Aug. 9, 2016, but there have allegedly been early releases for game reviewers and journalists. Someone with an enterprising mind has been selling these off for over a thousand bucks on the auction site.
As such, more leaks are expected to surface days after the game's release. Videos showing footage and leaks of the actual game have been taken down on Youtube and other video hosting sites, except on Pornhub, per Motherboard.
This has prompted Sean Murray to call on other gamers to avoid reading or watching videos of leaks. "We've spent years filling No Man's Sky with surprises," said the developer via Twitter. "You've spent years waiting. Please don't spoil it for yourself."
