As the MLB's trade deadline approaches, several players have been on the trading block. One of the players listed on top is Yasiel Puig currently on the rosters os Los Angeles Dodgers, which is known to have a higher possibility that he could be traded.
The waiver trade deadline already passed a few hours ago, but this doesn't mean that Puig could even "dodge" the bullet. Puig was plagued by lots of controversies from the past years of his career.
Puig, who is turning 26 this December is supposed to be in the middle of his prime as a veteran player, though his attitude is now improving, Puig is currently struggling on the batting line that results a below-average than the normal. Puig is facing a course of regression on his performance that leads the Dodgers' Management to put him on the trading block.
Last Monday, Puig was asked not to join the team as the Dodgers travel for a road game, and he was told that he might be playing back in the minor league or held him in the trading block. Due to that scenario last Monday, the Dodgers have acquired Josh Reddick and Rich Hill to fill up the right fielder and the pitcher position accordingly.
It has been reported that the Dodgers gave Reddick the opportunity to play in a cleanup spot, batting and was given the same amount of playing time as Puig had.
According to ESPN, the Chicago White Sox expresses some interest to Puig and the Dodgers are considering a deal for Chris Sale or Jose Quintana. Other players from the south are also being scouted such as James Shield, Todd Fraizier and David Robertson.
Finishing second in the 2013 Rookie of the Year voting, Yasiel Puig is now facing the verge of his career, whether he can prove that he is worth for a gamble or not.
