There is no doubt that many are surprised and some are disappointed when the former Oklahoma City Thunder small forward Kevin Durant decided to leave his team to join the Golden State Warriors. Durant's departure from OKC continues to make waves and another critic spoke up.
According to For The Win, Tracy McGrady was "highly disappointed" with Kevin Durant's decision to join the super team Golden State Warriors. Many initially thought that it is unlikely for the NBA superstar to join an already strong and established team, so when Durant moved to GSW they were disappointed.
"I was disappointed in the move to Golden State. I wasn't disappointed that he left, I mean he's a free agent, he's able to go wherever he wants," Tracy McGrady told Complex. "But I just think having a team now coming off a championship run and you have the champs down 3-1, and they come back and defeat you. I just think as a competitor, you would come back and try to dethrone them with the same team."
Many will probably agree with T-Mac. In fact, Parent Herald previously reported that by doing so Kevin Durant ruins NBA. Also, his move to GSW is more heartbreaking than LeBron James' decision to leave Miami Heat for Cleveland Cavaliers.
With too many being disappointed with Kevin Durant's move to Golden State Warriors, are there chances to see the seven-time NBA All-Star back to Oklahoma City Thunder? Many are speculating that Durant will follow LeBron James strategy.
The King initially left Cleveland Cavaliers to join Miami Heat but eventually return with a huge comeback. Last NBA season, LeBron James delivered Cavaliers its first NBA title. There is no doubt that many are still hoping to see Durant with OKC to give Thunder a better position in the league.
With Kevin Durant's departure and Russell Westbrook having his last year with the Thunder, Oklahoma City's future for their next NBA title is dim. Do you want Durant to return to OKC? Is it still possible when many are also hoping for the superstar to deliver more NBA titles for the GSW? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
