‘Rick And Morty’ Season 3 Return Date & Spoilers: Creators Tease New Characters, Beth & Jerry Divorce?

"Rick and Morty" Season 3 is still under production, but series creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland shared some exciting details about the upcoming season of the Adult Swim series. Aside from exciting new characters entering the picture, spoilers reveal that Beth and Jerry's storyline will have some progress next season.

"Rick and Morty" Season 3 spoilers hint on the addition of new and exciting characters, which fans have been hoping to see since the first season of the Adult Swim drama such as Cthulu. During the San Diego Comic Con 2016, series creator Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland hinted that fans and viewers will get some of their wishes fulfilled next season, according to Shockya.

"You're going to be seeing some things that people have been wanting to see," they teased.

Fans and viewers were also wondering whether some former characters such as the Meeseeks will be returning in "Rick and Morty" Season 3. However, the series creators admitted that they are having a hard time finding a good storyline to include the Meeseeks in Season 3.

Geek also reports that the "Rick and Morty" Season 2 DVD had some of the biggest revelations along with teasers for Season 3. According to the publication, Roiland and Harmon teased that Beth and Jerry's storyline will have some progress next season.

Harmon commented that when they first started out "Rick and Morty," they thought that having Beth and Jerry divorced would be similar to "South Park" killing Kenny. However, they realized later on that they need to move forward with Beth's story.

"Rick and Morty" Season 3 return date is expected to be in late 2016 on Adult Swim.
