NBA Trade Rumors: Jae Crowder Up For Grab? Will Cavaliers Acquire Him Along With Marcus Smart, Jonas Jerebko?

As the Boston Celtics is gearing up for the next season and is aiming to be one of the title contenders, speculations say that the team is giving away Jae Crowder to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Marcus Smart and Jonas Jerebko will also be part of the deal in order to acquire Kevin Love.

The Boston Celtics and the Cleveland Cavaliers are reportedly in talks to make a deal involving Jae Crowder, Marcus Smart, Jonas Jerebko, and Kevin Love. According to SportsRageous, adding Kevin Love to the roster of Celtics, together with Al Horford, would create a powerful tandem in the team. While there were many people who were not impressed with Love's performance in the last season, the Celtics had been interested in him since before. After all, he was in the lineup of the best NBA players during his time in Minnesota.

In exchange for Kevin Love, if Cavaliers takes Jae Crowder, he will take Love's place and bring in a great defense. Marcus Smart, on one hand, will be the replacement of Matthew Dellavedova, who is joining the Milwaukee Bucks. Cavaliers could make good use of someone like Crowder when it faces the Golden State Warriors again, which is creating a "Super Team" and added Kevin Durant to try and win the championship again.

Should he stay with Celtics, CelticsBlog said he is going to be Celtics' biggest overachiever. With Al Horford in their roster, Crowder's job will get easier and he will only need to defend, shoot threes, and make cuts in the right time. Crowder's stats are expected to see some boost, however, that would be because of his role getting easier and not because of his improvements. Last season, he averaged 14.2 points per game, 5.1 assists, and 1.7 steals. He also assisted on 78.2% of his shots, with 8.9% assist percentage, and 33.6% overall three-point percentage.
