According to ESPN FC, Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, only found of the 23-year-old Frenchman's ban only days before the beginning of the Premier League. Mourinho says that he knew of Pogba's booking in the Italian Cup, but was not sure if the decision would be brought with him to England, saying "I knew the situation with the yellow cards. I didn't know if the suspension would be in Italian football, a suspension for the same competition, or the corresponding competition in England, the FA Cup."
Jose Mourinho has also stated that Pogba will be ready to start for Manchester United in the team's second match of the Premier League season against Southampton. Until then, fans can only wait.
