Video game genius Hideo Kojima, the man behind the famed "Metal Gear" franchise, has recently released a trailer for his new game "Death Stranding", at the 2016 E3. Word now is that the Japanese gaming development mastermind's new game already has a release date, but the sad thing is, the rest of the world may not find out when.
The "Death Stranding" trailer was premiered at the 2016 E3 under Kojima's very own development studio, Kojima Productions, during Sony's press conference.
The eerie trailer showed a naked man, lying on a dark and gloomy beach, surrounded by dead marine animals. The man, undoubtedly the game's main protagonist, wakes up and looks at the sky as large unidentified flying objects hover above.
While the trailer doesn't reveal much about "Death Stranding", except that Norman Reedus will play the main character, and that the game is visually stunning. It does, however, hint that it could be in the horror sci-fi genre, something that Kojima is known for. Ever since the "Death Stranding" trailer was released, fans have been begging for details about the game especially it's release date, and only one man other than Kojima and his team knows exactly when.
In a report from Gaming Bolt, Icelandic musician Ryan Karazija, the vocalist of the band Low Roar, who provided the equally beautiful score for the trailer, mentioned that Kojima himself disclosed to him the details of the "Death Stranding" project, including the much-awaited release date.
Talking with YongYea on YouTube, Karazija candidly says that during a meeting with Kojima, where the Japanese developer showed him the ins and outs of "Death Stranding", also revealed to him the release date saying, "So he shows me a bunch of photos, and I know when the game is coming out, and all this stuff, and I can't tell you guys." That makes Ryan Karazija one of the few people who knows this vital piece of information.
Even though fans are still desperately eager to know more about the game, they can at least be thankful that this Hideo Kojima project is coming through, unlike the highly-anticipated "Silent Hills," that was developed by Kojima along with director Guillermo del Toro, and also starred Norman Reedus as the main character. "Silent Hills" was canceled halfway through production, but now at least fans can be guaranteed that "Death Stranding" won't suffer the same fate.
The world will just have to wait and see to find out exactly what "Death Stranding" is all about, and when it will be available for release.
