Blake Griffin remains to be one of the favorite names in the NBA trade rumors. Doc Rivers, head coach of LA Clippers already said that they have no plans in letting go Griffin but reports have it that the power forward will join the free agency trade next year and Miami Heat is planning to sign Griffin to replace Dwayne Wade.
Ecumenical News reported that Blake Griffin is the latest name linked to Miami Heat. The team was one of the strongest contenders in the NBA league, especially when it had the power trio of LeBron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh. However, the only member left in the three is Bosh because James is already with the Cleveland Cavaliers while Wade just signed for the Chicago Bulls.
Reports have it that Miami Heat want to sign Blake Griffin especially that the player is a favorite when it comes to NBA trade or free agency rumors this off-season. In fact, Parent Herald previously reported San Antonio Spurs has plans on pursuing Griffin for their next big three. On a separate report, Orlando Magic is also interested in signing Griffin as a potential addition to their roster to strengthen their hold for their next NBA title.
Other sources linked Blake Griffin to Chicago Bulls, Oklahoma City Thunder and Toronto Raptors. Inquisitr reported that the LA Clippers power forward could potentially land to Miami Heat when he joins the NBA free agency in 2017. The report is positive that it would be hard to convince Blake Griffin to leave Clippers but Miami Heat president Pat Riley has the power to do so.
The report likened Blake Griffin to LeBron James' case a few years back. Riley successfully convinced James to leave his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers to play for Miami. At that point, James played alongside his best buddy Dwayne Wade were both delivered Heat two championships.
However, Parent Herald previously reported that LA Clippers is keeping Blake Griffin until he retires. Doc Rivers is hopeful to see Griffin staying in the team until he retires. Rivers said per Basketball Real GM that he is confident to keep Griffin and Chris Paul even if both will be joining the free agency next year and added that the pair wants to play for Clippers in the next NBA seasons.
