Aside from Blake Griffin, DeMarcus Cousins is another favorite name this off-season's NBA trading and free-agency rumors. Reports have it that Boogie is turning down Cleveland Cavaliers to join Chicago Bulls' frontline.
Morning Ledger reported that Cleveland Cavaliers and Sacramento Kings have been in an NBA trade talk involving Kevin Love and DeMarcus Cousins. Reports have it that Cavs is trading Love because he is not the best match for LeBron James inside the court. In fact, Parent Herald previously reported that Cousins will be heading to Cavs while Love will be joining the Kings.
Cavs is pressured to strengthen their roster to win a back-to-back championship, now that the Golden State Warriors have a powerful quartet when Kevin Durant decided to join them. At the time the Warriors have Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and the former OKC Thunder small forward Durant.
Reports are rife that Cavaliers want DeMarcus Cousins to sign with them because he is a potential match to LeBron James moves on the basketball court. However, Cavs is not the only team that wants Cousins on their roster in the next NBA season.
Parent Herald previously reported that Chicago Bulls is also interested in getting Boogie after his impressive scores in the Rio Olympics 2016. In fact, Bulls is willing to trade its key players just to acquire DeMarcus Cousins. Morning Ledger suggests that Cousins might join Dwayne Wade in Bulls to join the team's frontline.
On a side note, Parent Herald previously reported that Cleveland Cavaliers is working on a deal to sign J.R. Smith. Per Inquisitr, at the time, Cavs is still waiting for Smith to sign it. The Cleveland's starting shooting guard is procrastinating with the deal. Reports have it that Cavs is offering J.R. Smith a $10 million salary per year but the player demands for a pay close to $15 million per year.
