‘South Park’ Season 20 Rumors, Latest News Updates: Upcoming Season Hinting Election, Brexit References?

In less than a month, "South Park" season 20 will be making its television premiere but reports about what to expect on the hit Comedy Central adult animated series seemed to be elusive. But what do fans really want to see from the satirical TV show that has been a pop culture phenomenon for almost two decades?

Prior to the highly anticipated television comeback of "South Park" season 20, South Park Studios recently requested fans to vote for their top three favorite episodes from the previous seasons of the show. As Parent Herald previously reported, the winning episodes will be aired for "South Park" Labor Day Weekend Marathon on Sunday, Sept. 4 on Comedy Central.

For years, "South Park" has become a household name in satirizing current events. That's why for its 20th season, it won't really be a surprise if the upcoming "South Park" season 20 episodes will capitalize more on the issues regarding the 2016 U.S. Presidential Elections and the controversial Brexit reference, according to Fansided's Hidden Remote.

If "South Park" season 20 plotlines will take a political turn this season, it wouldn't be the first time for the show to poke fun on some of the nation's famous politicians. As a matter of fact, the previous seasons of the show had thrown jokes on U.S. President Barack Obama, John McCain and Mitt Romney but last season, the show already tackled the issues on Donald Trump.

As for the possibility of a Brexit-inspired episode in "South Park" season 20, creator Matt Stone and Trey Parker might make the controversy lighter by doing their very own version. But for the requested "Pokémon GO" craze episode, there could be endless possibilities even though Stone and Parker previously admitted that another "Pokémon"-themed episode was not really on the cards this season.

What's more interesting in "South Park" season 20, however, is the possibility of a "Free the Nipple" episode. Ecumenical News previously noted that creator Trey Parker hinted a "Free the Nipple" season during the 2016 San Diego Comic-Con.

"Yes," Parker announced, as per Entertainment Weekly. "We weren't, and now we are. The entire next season will be Free the Nipple season."

As for "South Park" season 20 cast, all-time favorite character PC Principal is reportedly coming back on the show as he remains the South Park Elementary principal, Den of Geek revealed. In addition, infamous "South Park" baddie Reality is reportedly returning in the series after his "Safe Space" appearance and death in the previous season, Mashable learned.

Kenny, on the other hand, might be killed off again in "South Park" season 20. Meanwhile. The upcoming season also hinted George Clooney and Caitlyn Jenner's potential participation.

"South Park" season 20 is scheduled to premiere on Sept. 14. However, "South Park: The Fractured But Whole" will be released on Dec. 6 on PS4, Windows PC and Xbox One consoles, Polygon noted. More interestingly, Ubisoft also introduces the game's fart-smelling VR platform known as the Nosulus Rift.
