‘Grimm' Season 6 Air Date, News & Update: Nick Burkhardt, Sean Renard Not ‘Frenemies’ In Bloody S6? Is NBC Negotiating For More Seasons?

"Grimm Season 6" is not going to be a season of friendship between Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) and Sean Renard (Sasha Roiz). It is not all a downward trend for Nick Burkhardt and the Scooby gang as recent news say NBC is negotiating for a follow up to "Grimm Season 6."

Entertainment Weekly cites David Giuntoli in revealing that Nick Burkhardt and Sean Renard (by brand new American citizen Sasha Roiz) are not going to be friends when "Grimm Season 6" rolls in. After Diana (Hanna R. Lloyd) uses a voodoo doll to control Sean Renard into killing Black Claw leader Conrad in the "Grimm Season 5" finale, viewers hoped that the Mayor of Portland and Nick Burkhardt could let bygones be bygones.

Bree Turner qualifies the remark by David Giuntoli to make sure that no confusion arises over how "Grimm Season 6" will find Nick Burkhardt and Sean Renard. "There's no frenemies," Bree Turner said. "It's enemies."

While Sasha Roiz is quite gleeful that Sean Renard will finally show his true colors in "Grimm Season 6" Reggie Lee, who plays Sgt Wu, notes that the Mayor of Portland did not really need much persuasion to go dark. In a separate interview as cited on Parent Herald, Sasha Roiz pointed out that Sean Renard had always worn "goodness" almost like ill-fitting clothes, which he finally gets to discard in the new "Grimm" episodes.

How dark Sean Renard gets in "Grimm Season 6" is anyone's guess as Nick Burkhardt and the Scooby gang may themselves find darkness engulfing them, too, thanks to the power of the magic stick. While "Grimm Season 6" will reveal the magic stick to be very powerful, the new episodes will also expose it to be very evil as David Giuntoli warned on Dread Central.

A happier news besides Monroe (Silar Weir Mitchell) and Rosalee (Bree Turner) having a baby comes from Oregon Live on how NBC might sign for more "Grimm" episodes. Going straight to NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt, the media outlet asked if "Grimm Season 6" is the end.

According to Robert Greenblatt, NBC might order more episodes for "Grimm" but the exact number of episodes to be added is still being discussed at the moment. Good news indeed for "Grimm" fans if the NBC talks turn out favorably.

Meanwhile, NBC is scheduled to air the "Grimm Season 6" premiere on Oct 9. Do you think the series should continue beyond "Grimm Season 6"?
