In a matter of weeks, "Dancing with the Stars" season 23 will finally make its much-awaited grand television comeback. But before the dance competition officially commences this fall, an official cast announcement will be made on ABC's "Good Morning America" on Tuesday, Aug. 30.
Things are really getting more exciting as "Dancing with the Stars" season 23 premiere looms. That's why, several online publications are unstoppable in giving hints on who will compete for the most coveted mirrorball trophy this season as speculations about the cast continuously emerge.
Based on the latest news, an insider reportedly told Us Weekly that the "Dancing with the Stars" season 23 showrunners were interested in inviting 2016 Rio Olympian and gymnastics goddess Simone Biles to be one of the participants of the hit ABC dance reality competition show. In addition, Biles also told the publication that joining "DWTS" would be "cool" but in spite of her willingness to join the contest, she stressed that she has a very busy schedule.
Aside from Biles, former U.S. President Bill Clinton may also join "Dancing with the Stars" season 23. As a matter of fact, "DWTS" casting director Deena Katz reportedly admitted that she has invited the ex-President to join the show since the show started in 2005, however, Katz also revealed that she didn't ask Clinton this year because she believed that he will be busy supporting his wife and 2016 U.S. Presidential Election nominee Hillary Clinton, Celeb Dirty Laundry noted.
Another name that has recently emerged in relation to "Dancing with the Stars" season 23 cast rumors was of another Olympian, Ryan Lochte. According to Hollywood Life, "DWTS" producers have asked the 32-year-old American competitive swimmer to compete on the dance floor for years.
Unfortunately, Lochte has reportedly refused the offer. In addition to the aforementioned names, Parent Herald previously hinted the possible participation of "General Hospital" alum Emma Samms, "Bachelor" New Zealand Jordan Mauger,"Bachelorette" star JoJo Fletcher, ESPN's "The Coach" co-host and former WWE talent Jonathan Coachman and "RHONY" alum Teresa Giudice in "Dancing with the Stars" season 23.
As for the professional dancers in "Dancing with the Stars" season 23, earlier reports hinted the return of Sharna Burgess and Artem Chigvintsev on the "DWTS" dance floor this season. Rumors also have it that pro dancer Gleb Savchenko will be making a comeback this season after the producers reportedly made an offer he couldn't refuse, another Celeb Dirty Laundry report revealed.
Moreover, new mom Allison Holker, who skipped "DWTS" season 22, has also been reported to return in "Dancing with the Stars" season 23 dance floor. A Us Weekly insider said that the 28-year-old mom-of-one will be returning as one of pro dancers, along with Savchenko.
Meanwhile, the representatives for "Dancing with the Stars" season 23 have declined to confirm or deny the latest casting rumors, saying they don't really comment on speculations. As for the show's air date, "DWTS" season 23 will premiere on Sept. 12, Monday at 8 p.m. on ABC.
