Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev are believed to have their final reunion on screen as Damon and Elena aka "Delena" in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. According to E! News, The CW boss Mark Pedowitz admitted that negotiations are currently set in place for the actress' return after she left the show in Season 6.
It has been known that Dobrev and series creator Julie Plec made a promise to return for "The Vampire Diaries" once it reaches its end. While the network refused to comment on details surrounding the negotiations with the actress, a recent photo seemingly suggests that Dobrev will return for the series finale of "TVD."
According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, the 27-year-old actress recently received backlash from fans after posting a photo of her bum on her Instagram account. Many fans commented that Dobrev is a lot better than that and should not be posting such kinds of photos on her page. Others believe that the photo was a means of hyping up her return in "TVD" Season 8.
However, the publication notes on the possibility that Dobrev is celebrating her return in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 as well as her reunion with her ex-boyfriend Ian Somerhalder. This reunion has even led to speculations that Somerhalder and his wife, Nikki Reed, are having marriage problems.
Dobrev's official return in "TVD" Season 8, however, would still have to come from The CW or from the actress herself. Many fans are holding out hope to see their favorite couple back on the small screens for the last time.
