‘Pokémon GO’ Tips & Tricks: How To Evolve & Power Up Charmander Into Charizard

Like any other Pokémon in "Pokémon GO," evolving Charmander into the more powerful Charizard takes time and effort. Some of you may already have an idea on how to turn the cute Charmander into Charizard, but here are some tips and tricks for you who are still new to the game.

Charmander is a Fire Type Pokémon. The flaming tip of the creature's tail indicates its emotions, faltering when Charmander feels pleasant and burns brightly when the Pokémon is mad. Charmander has a base attack of 128, base defense of 108, and base stamina of 78, Ranked Boost listed.

Charmander can be hatched from a 2km Egg. This process requires an incubator and walking the required distance, but if you want to bypass hatching an Egg you can always catch as many Charmanders as you can in the wild. Catching one Charmander will give you three Pokémon Candies.

Charmander's spawn locations are places with warm and dry or arid climates such as beaches. The pocket monster can also be found in parks, residential areas, cities, and neighborhoods.

Charmander is not that difficult to catch, and you can always use Pokévision to make the process easier. Pokévision shows data where Charmander has been captured by other "Pokémon GO" players. So you can simply locate your area on the website's map and look for Charmander spawns.

After you captured Charmanders, you can go to the professor and trade them for 125 Charmander Candies or the total number of Candies you need for a Charizard. Once you get those Candies, evolve Charmander into Charmeleon for 25 Candies. Hit evolve once again and spend 100 Candies to get Charizard.

Be careful when trading Charmanders with the Professor and only trade ones with the lowest CP and bypass the ones that you already powered up. There is no do-over when you accidentally transfer the wrong Pokémon.

You can always catch a Charizard in the wild if the evolution process is too long and taxing for you. Some "Pokémon GO" players claimed they found a Charizard in large parks and playgrounds or near mountain areas, but it's difficult to catch if you don't have a high enough level, Heavy reported. For now, evolving Charmander is your best option.

Once you get a Charizard, you can now make its CP or Combat Points stronger by using Stardust and Candy. Having a powerful Pokémon in "Pokémon GO" is a rewarding experience because it means taking over more Gyms and getting plenty of PokéCoins.
