The new season of "90 Day Fiancé" has just begun and controversies already surround its cast. It has been revealed that Narkyia Lathan has a secret about her past that could be a deal breaker for her and her fiancé, Olulowo.
Narkyia Lathan, 36 and single mother, filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy in 2007, Radar Online has learned. According to court papers that the publication has obtained, Narkyia was about $36,445.75 in debt, which included taxes, student loans, credit card payments, and more. This could well be in the past, as the bankruptcy was finally discharged on Aug. 17, 2012. Could it affect their engagement? Maybe, maybe not. "90 Day Fiancé" fans may have to watch the show and see what will happen.
Narkyia and her 28-year-old Nigerian fiancé met through Facebook and he even catfished her by saying that he lives in Alabama while, in fact, he is in Vietnam. He also lied about several other things, until Narkyia found out the truth. She tried to break up with him, but Olulowo was persistent. And now they're getting married.
Meanwhile, a quick recap of what transpired to the first episode of "90 Day Fiancé" Season 4 where fans meet five Americans and their foreign fiancés. They have to get married before the foreign partners' 90-day Visa expired. In addition to Narkyia and Olulowo, we have Nicole, 21, and Azan, 23; Matt, 42, and Alla, 30; Jorge, 25, and Anfisa, 20; Chantel, 25, and Pedro, 24. Nicole and Jorge's stories are promising to be rather controversial. Nicole and Azan are dubbed as this season's Danielle and Mohammed. There are several red flags already, but they "love" their fiancés.
