'The Fall' Season 3 Air Date & News: Latest Teaser Unleashes The Chills, Gillian Anderson-Jamie Dornan Starrer Sets Autumn Return

It looks like the "The Fall" Season 3 is going a lot darker. Slated to return on the small screen this autumn, the show's latest teaser brings the chills as Jamie Dornan's voice, as Paul Spector, utters some serious words for Stella Gibson (Gillian Anderson).

"You will never know the almost God-like power that I feel when that last bit of breath leaves a body," the serial killer tells the inspector in "The Fall" teaser. This was Paul Spector's reply after she challenges him by saying, "You're under arrest. You're going to prison. In what sense are you free?" per Time.

The latest teaser to "The Fall" doesn't show any images except for Gillian Anderson, who is seen swimming in the pool as the voice overs play. The vibe of the clip suggests that "The Fall's" third and final season will be more tense and horrifying. Watch it below.

"The Fall" Season 3 will pick up after the cliffhanger last season, where Paul Spector was seen nearly passing out due to gunshot wounds. The teaser shows that he makes it alive. It is interesting to see how his mind games with Stella Gibson will play out in "The Fall" Season 3, now that she's got the upper hand as he is in the police's custody.

"The Fall" is created by Allan Cubitt and first ran on television in 2013. It centers on a father, Paul Spector, who works as a grief counsellor. However, he leads a double life as a serial killer who preys on beautiful women.

The Independent reports that aside from Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan returning for "The Fall" Season 3, Colin Morgan, Aisling Franciosi, Bronagh Waugh, John Lynch, Emmett J. Scanlan, Stuart Graham, Valene Kane are also back in the series. BBC has yet to announce the actual autumn air date in the U.K. and in the U.S., "The Fall" can be watched via Netflix.
