"Thor 3 Ragnarok" is teased as a crucial part of the MCU phase 3. Since it will loosely follow the apocalyptic events of Ragnarok in the comics, fans should expect an action-packed cosmic adventure.
It has been previously confirmed that the third installment will have very limited interaction with Midgard or Earth. The events of "Thor 3 Ragnarok" will mostly take place in Asgard and in neighboring planets and galaxies. However, this doesn't mean that fans won't see familiar faces. In the new movie, Bruce Banner's The Hulk will share the adventure with his buddy Thor.
Not a lot has been revealed about "Thor 3 Ragnarok's" main villain. It has been reported that fire giant Surtur will be the main antagonist in the movie, but rumors are rife that fans will get to see more of supervillain Thanos in the new flick. Audiences should also remember that Thor's sinister brother Loki is confirmed to return.
In "Thor: The Dark World," Loki pretended to be Odin in the last scenes of the movie. This has left fans wondering whether the Asgardian king is still alive. New reports now suggest that Odin is in fact alive, but not in Asgard.
Previous reports confirmed that "Thor 3 Ragnarok" have some scenes that will feature New York. As it turns out, this is where fans will find Odin as a homeless man. IGN shared some set photos of actor Anthony Hopkins dressed in rags.
As for Thor, Marvel has recently revealed the hilarious Comic Con teaser vid for "Thor 3 Ragnarok" featuring the god of thunder living a normal life during the events of "Captain America: Civil War." In one part of the video, Thanos, Loki and the Mjolnir are shown with Thor giving a thorough explanation at the background.
"Thor 3 Ragnarok" premieres on November 3, 2017.
