Dark fantasy drama Grimm is going out with a huge bang after being on NBC's coveted list of primetime shows. This time, the players and anti-players of the fabled TV series are headed to an epic battle in the end.
After being on air for six seasons, the show-runners of the network has announced on Monday that Nick would be relinquishing his role as the last Grimm, says Entertainment Weekly. Following a mid-season press release statement from NBC, which includes debut dates for its renewed series' as well as upcoming ones, Grimm season 6 would be having its final 13 episodes.
Season 5 for Grimm showcased the continued efforts of Nick Burkhardt to keep the balance between good and evil. With the present season's finale dubbed "The Beginning of the End", fans were caught unaware that it would be a prelude to the show's upcoming final season. A Battle Of Wits Nick's human-arch nemesis Capt. Renard as the newly-elected mayor of Portland remains a threat to the former's methods of fighting evil in the city. Plus, Nick needs to keep his child with Adalind safe from the clutches of those "Reapers of the Grimms".
Grimm season 6 is soon to air on January 6 next year, and would be back-to-back with Emerald City, in a related Coming Soon post. Likened to a modern version of Wizard of Oz, Emerald City would be featuring Dorothy as a 20-year-old young woman who'd be beginning her new set of adventures in a mystical land and facing a ruler who despises magic, as well as wicked witches.
Monroe and Rosalee are also set to be needing the strength they can get to deal with bringing another being into a chaotic world. Juliette/Eve would also be seen battling her own demons as her old self tries to come up from down below. Get set to watch Grimm season 6 this 2017 as David Giuntoli has already started filming an episode!
