‘God Of War’ 4 Latest News & Update: Kratos’ Norse ‘GoW’ Streamlines Action Experience? Traditional Elements Scaled Back?

"God Of War" 4 from Sony Santa Monica and creative director Cory Barlog is streamlining the action experience on Kratos' Norse adventure for "GoW" fans. Does this move by Sony Santa Monica and Cory Barlog, however, mean that more original "God Of War" elements are to be scaled back?

Granted Sony Santa Monica and Cory Barlog have committed to creating a stronger storytelling for Kratos in "God Of War" 4. With inspirations like "Resident Evil 4" and "The Last Of Us," Cory Barlog is redesigning Kratos into a "God Of War" protagonist who is on a journey of redemption.

The changes that Sony Santa Monica and Cory Barlog are bringing into "God Of War" 4 gameplay are also nothing to sneer about. Controllable camera angles, redefined Rage meter and a son that is a battle resource for Kratos as Aperture Games points out are among the stronger changes for "God Of War" 4.

In a recent exchange on social media as cited by GamingBolt, Cory Barlog explained that "God Of War" 4 will not have 100 hours of gameplay. Instead, Cory Barlog says he hopes to make "God Of War" 4 long as well as action-packed and do away with the mini games.

This indicates that "God Of War" 4 will indeed bring some open world elements into the Kratos sequel. Some "GoW" fans wonder if this would mean "God Of War" 4 will scale back on the more original "God Of War" elements.

Segment Next proposes that this would mean "God Of War" 4 will not bring back the more jarring puzzles as random sex or tunnel travels for XP. The media outlet also points out that "God Of War" 4 will retain conditions where Kratos is pitted against large forces of enemies at a single time.

Cory Barlog assured "GoW" fans that his vision for "God Of War" 4 remains firm. "God Of War" 4 will be released as an exclusive title for Sony PlayStation 4 in 2017.
