Season 6 of "American Horror Story" will already be premiering this September, but the creators of the award-winning horror TV show have not yet confirmed the new theme for this year. Now, an unintentional leak might have just revealed the answer.
"American Horror Story" is one of the most gruesomely entertaining and downright weird tv series today, known for it's stunning visuals, grotesque storyline, risky content, and having brand new themes for every season.
After numerous teasers for the new season have been released, fans have since been itching to find out what "American Horror Story" season 6 will be about. In the paper edition of TV Guide, the listing of the show was listed as "American Horror Story: The Mist,"according to D Listed.
The new title for "American Horror Story" season 6 was also "accidentally" revealed by critic website Rotten Tomatoes, which listed the show on their website as "American Horror Story: The Mist" but was removed hours after, according to a report from The Wrap.
Now that the new season of "American Horror Story" might just be titled "The Mist." Many are wondering what "The Mist" theme could be about. Rumors are going around that the new season could have gotten it's inspiration from the 1980's Stephen King Novel of the same name. The story which enters a small town, that is covered by a mysterious mist, where an unseen creature lurks behind and snatches the townsfolk, though no confirmations have been made on this theory.
FX Networks CEO John Landgraf says that the reason behind the misleading teasers of "American Horror Story" Season 6, is that they simply thought that it would be fun, and that's why they did it. Landgraf added that the theme of the new season will remain under wraps until the premiere.
Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Lady Gaga, Denis O'hare, Matt Bomer, and Leslie Jordan have all been confirmed to return for season 6 which will premiere on September 14.
