Sacramento Kings' big man, DeMarcus Cousins, remains to be one of the most talked about NBA players to be traded before the 2016-2017 NBA season formally starts this October. Accordingly, he is to be signed with Cleveland Cavaliers or Toronto Raptors.
It remains unclear what team will Cousins be part of but many believe that he really will be leaving Sacramento Kings before the new season of NBA begins. Christian Today reported that Toronto Raptors is one of the NBA teams hoping to acquire Cousins. They reportedly want to improve their chances of claiming the championship and they believe that acquiring Cousins would be the best move and the best option they have.
If Toronto Raptors will succeed in acquiring Cousins, he will most likely work with the team's shooting guard, DeMar DeRozan and the team's pint guard, Kyle Lowry in order to make things work for the team. Cousins joining Raptors could mean that the team might have the chance to go against Cleveland Cavaliers for the Eastern Conference despite the fact that the latter team has LeBron James, Kevin Love, and Kyrie Irving. Although they might not win against Cleveland Cavaliers, Toronto Raptors will be able to rebuild its image if Cousins will be part of the team, analysts are saying.
Cousins, 26, is a power forward and Cleveland Cavaliers was his purported destination. However, Cleveland Cavaliers have not made any major moves this offseason so there might be no trade taking place between Sacramento Kings and Cleveland Cavaliers.
Cousins has become a valuable asset due to the gameplay he showed in the Rio Olympics 2016. However, other teams are said to be wary of acquiring Cousins since he has some issues with how he handles his attitude towards coaches, Inquisitr reported.
Another team reportedly trying to have a deal with Sacramento Kings in order to get Cousins is Chicago Bulls. Chicago Bulls could trade Bobby Portis, Doug McDermott, and Nikola Mirotic. However, only two could be traded in order to get Cousins.
Cousins and the teams aforementioned have been mum on the NBA trade rumors involving the NBA player.
