iPhone Latest News & Update: iPhone 7 Plus Dubbed As A Jumbo And Has Two Back Cameras, No Headphone Jack

In the recent Apple event, the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus have been introduced. Aside from the elimination of the headphone jack, the iPhone 7 Plus has a lot more to offer as it is equipped with two back cameras as opposed to iPhone 7 which has just one.

The iPhone 7 flagship is assured to be faster, thinner, and water-resistant. However, many might not be interested in the iPhone 7 alone as the iPhone 7 Plus have more features as per its name. CNET reported that iPhone 7 Plus having two cameras is due to the fact that one is with a wide-angle lens while the other has a telescopic lens, which is capable of zooming up to 10 times.

In the iPhone 6 flagship, there was not much difference between iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus and it was more of the difference in the size of the phone. However, for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, the latter is much better and offers more features. Apple's marketing chief, Phil Schiller, said that the camera on iPhone 7 Plus is the best ever made on any smartphone in existence today.

The iPhone 7 Plus will basically be bigger since it falls under the phablet market. Also, it will be more expensive. Apple buyers would have to chip in an extra $120 for the iPhone 7 Plus.

More on the headphone jack being eliminated, it has been revealed that a lighting port will now be used for the iPhone 7 flagship. However, the wireless earbuds, called AirPods, will be sold for $159, The Ringer reported.

The lighting port will be located at the bottom of the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus. Schiller shared at the launch event of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus that the reason behind the 3.55-mm port being eliminated is because smartphones are packed with technologies so it was a good thing to remove for the flagship to continue moving forward and improving in general.

The iPhone 7 flagship is the same size as the iPhone 6 but it is much lighter than the previous model.
